Voltaren side effects

One week ago , i have read in newspapers that a child 9 year old got high fever(40 C) , he was seen by a pediatrician , who gave him voltaren shot i.m , after that the child condition deteriorated rapidly and he became unconscious , he was rushed to the ER in another hospital where he has had CT scan head that revealed bleeding inside his brain with an associated bleeding from his nose and mouth, after being in intensive care unit for sometime the child died .
There was a suspicion that H1N1is behind his fever and till now the cause of his internal bleeding that led to his death is unknown , could be this linked to voltaren shot he got in his ped. clinc as what the preliminary reports stated ?

I got a voltaren shot on my hip for an injury to my toe (it became really swollen). Hours later the area became discolored, from blueish to reddish to purple, and now it is purplish black. The area is sore, and dis discoloration is approximately 4 inches in diameter. This is so scary. I have has shots with other drugs before, but never with this discoloration. It's been 4 days since i got the shot, and it shows no indication of going away. It keeps getting worse daily. Has anyone else experienced this? Please help.

Is there any chance that Voltaren could cause diabetes?

9/8/03 On the advice of my physio, I have been taking one or two Voltaren Rapid 25 tabs each day - one after dinner at night. I have noticed I have had an extremely dry throat with difficulty swallowing during the day, but at night, I wake about 3 am with breathing and swallowing probs. When I swallow, my throat seems to hold the swallow for a second before it releases - very similar to symptoms I had once before with prawn allergy.. I then get up and take an allergy tablet and a large glass of water. The symptoms subside over the next several hours but on waking, I have a very thick and phlemgy throat.
