Vytorin and anxiety

i have been on vytorin 10/10 for 2 yrs.Last year i started having multiple symptoms.Nausea,loss of appetite,virtigo,and now anxiety issues.i have been to cardiologist,ear doctor, neurologist,eye doctor, and had many tests and they all come back normal. I have concluded it is the vytorin maybe?i stopped 3 weeks ago and haven't felt this good in months.my energy is up and im starting to feel like my old self again.my doctor wants me to go 3 months on no meds to see what happens.at that time id like to try omega 3 and red yeast ice? anybody had good results with any of these? im 51 and in great health other than cholesterol of 250.

I am a 45 yr old female and I have been on Vytorin for about 2 yrs or so for my cholesterol problems. Was on Lipitor before that and was getting leg pain so I stopped taking it. When blood work time came around it was still up so my doc put me on Vytorin. I have noticed that I feel like I'm dying. I have severe neck,back and arm pain, cold and hot attacks, can't sleep, chest pain,blurred vision, sudden stomach cramps, nausea, throat and ear aches, and bad stomach problems. I have had heart cath, ekgs,endoscopy, blood work and everything keeps coming back normal. Matter of fact, I went to the heart doc today and he put me on a 24 hour monitor and for low heart rate that has gradually gotten worse over the past few months.He even mentioned a pace maker. I don't even want to start about the depression and anxiety attacks that I have. They are AWFUL. But the more blogs that I have read, I think I know where the problem may lye. The Vytorin, so as of tonight I will NOT take another one..I just hope that there is no permanent damage done as far as my liver. I hope you all the best and I will let you know how I start to feel in the next few days...

I'm 44 and have taken Vytorin for several months. Having a lot of the symptoms listed. Has anyone had a problem with the heart skipping beats? I took myself off the stuff yesterday and already I feel a lot better - not great yet but I'm hoping thats to come.

Wow! I have been on Vytorin for 7 months. About a month after starting this poison, I had a panic attack. Scared me to death. I have been working with my Dr. to find the root of this new found anxiety. After reading these threads, it sounds to me like the Vytorin may be to blame. I also have a clay colored stool and have 2-3 bowel movements a day.

After reading the side effects listed by other people, I realize many of my health problems may be related to Vytorin. I've been taking it for about a year. Insomnia, anxiety attacks, bloating and nausea, hot and itchy back, sore and stiff hands are the major ones. Last weekend i was in the emergency room for an unexplained right side pain that was excruciating (like being stabbed by a knife over and over again). All the tests revealed nothing but a higher white blood count. After I went home, I experienced lesser pain for a week, then the ah ha moment - I stopped the Vytorin and the pain stopped and many other symptoms subsided.
