I started welchol 1 yr ago at the age of 40.I got lower back aches, muscle crampping, constapation and stopped taking it. My HCP said that it does not cause it and I started it again. My backaches came back with alot of other pains and muscle cramping.I suffer from insomnia and the inablity to relax or stay in the sun too long.My body began to stop abosorbing follic acid , B12. My HCP keeps increasing the dosage of welchol.Started with 1 @ breakfast, 1 @ dinner, then 2+2,now 3+3. I am now being diagnosed with pernicious animia.Along with this I may have nerve damage. Should I be taking this drug. Can it have caused or associated any of these problems.

I started welchol 1 yr ago.I got lower back aches, muscle crampping, constapation, backaches came back with alot of other pains muscle cramping, insomnia and the inablity to relax or stay in the sun too long. I am now being diagnosed with pernicious animia (B12 Deficiency). Has anyone out there been tested for B12 Deficiency in there blood work? This is not a factor in my family history. before I started with welchol I had normal levels in everthing but Cholesterol area. I found a new doctor that is going to take me off it and see if there are any changes in the B12 factor. If anyone has these symtoms and can get tested for B12 def. Please post!

His blood work consistantly comes back with low amylase and lipase. Yet they dont see any need for further investigation. I have been told he has a sensitive stomach. As a mother I see more. I live with him and see him every day. He eats very little, (i think it still hurts) he says he's not in pain anymore. At nine he was still thr...
