Welchol and weakness

i started taking welchol a week ago, and now i am having muscle aches, weakness and black, tarry stools. according to my doc, this med has no side effects-- i just think it is a coincidence that i am now feeling this way after taking this, and i was fine before. what a damper on my day!

Are upper limb weakness, muscle pains (like rheumatism)
joint discomfort side effects of Welchol. I started on this
medication 3 weeks ago, and have had these problems every
one or two days. Unlike when I took most of the statin
antihyperlipidemics, the addition of Vitamin E and Co-Enzyme
Q10 don't seem to relieve the symptoms. Do I need to worry
about this too much? Thanks.

Severe muscle and joint pain. Dr. think s it may be rheumatoid arthritis but I have my doubts. Am 75 yrs. old and have not had any weakness before this. Any coments or suggestions would be appreciated.
