Weaning off Lexapro for about 2 months now after taking it for 3 years. Went to every other day with a full pill, now down to every other day with 1/2 pill. I have experienced several unpleasant side effects. Most unusual, my breasts are very sore and barely touching them is painful. Anyone else experiencing this problem as well? How long will this last? Please let me know that I'm not the only one, I haven't read about this side effect.

I started taking 300 mg wellbutrin sr while weaning off of effexor xr (another nightmare) about three months ago. The past few weeks I have been extremely agitated with everyone in my life. I have also had the worst migraine of my life that will not go away. I'm not sure if this is a side effect of the welbutrin, or just more painful effexor withdrawal? My husband swears that my anger has made me a different person. I hate the way I feel, but don't know if the Wellbutrin is making it better or worse. Anyone have any input?

I've been taking WB xl 150mg for 12 days. I also take Effexor XR and Lamictal to treat bipolar. I've been feeling so depressed for about 4 weeks without any cause and I wanted to stop smoking. My doctor thought maybe I was experiencing SAD. I totally withdrew from my friends and would only leave the house to go to work. I just felt numb and like I couldn't get out of bed. I started feeling better almost immediately after starting WB! I did have a splitting headache and neck pain for about a week but now it's completely gone! My smoking cravings were gone within 3-4 days. I have no desire to pick up a cigarette even if I think about it for a while. I feel very calm yet extremely focused and energetic. My numbness is gone and it feels great to be able to cry and experience emotions again. I am LESS angry and I've quit snapping at people - which I used to do constantly. I still wake up several times during the night, which is new, but I try to rest during the day and go to bed earlier. My hunger does go up and down - sometimes I eat everything, other times I have no appetite. Really the only big side effect I have at this point is muscle and joint pain. There is no miracle pill. Sometimes you have to use mind over matter also.

Added Wellbutrin 150mg to my daily Lexapro 10mg for only three days now and I can tell the difference. I'm energetic but feel like I'm moving slow. I am very focused but short memory. Heart burn, yes, not bad - yuck. Very snappy with my honey though, hope this goes away quickly. How long do these side effects last? Does anyone ever plan to use this stuff for a short therapy and then get off - or do I seriously need to think about being on this therapy forever. Makes me wonder if I want to stay on these drugs at all, know what I mean? Was on Paxil for a couple of years - made me kinda bummed out for stretches - emotions strange - no tears at a funeral - felt somewhat mechanical. Taking lexapro for about a year now - weight gain, short times w/ fatigue (laziness), mini-depressions, elevated blood pressure. The 150mgs are borrowed so I could try it out - my prescription is for 300mg - why do you think so much for a beginner - I'm thinking the 150s would have been a good place to start...I don't know????? Anyhoo - I'm listening. Thanks.

I have been on Wellbutrin XL 150mg for 5 days now and have noticed that I am very short with people and experiencing anger. I tend to lash out. Will this go away?

I miss me...WB has turned me into a zombie and I'm more depressed than before. I've only been on it for 5 days, but I don't think I want to see if it works out after reading these posts. One of my major complaints about WB are the constant hallucinations. While mild they make me anxious, agitated and a little paranoid. I don't have much in the way of visual hallucinations, mostly hearing sounds and perceiving them to be threats and smelling odd smells that don't exist. I'm also emotionally "flat", have no interest in anything and I'm shaky and feel very cold most of the time. And I've never had anger issues before, but now I don't trust myself around anyone. I just want to be alone. I was told this medication would work for Seasonal Depression and help me to quit smoking, but right now I miss how I normally feel. Has anyone else had hallucinations? Do they go away or should I quit taking WB right away? It doesn't make sense to suffer for a full month when my seasonal depression only lasts for 4 months anyway - does it make sense to hang in there and see what happens? After reading these postings, if WB doesn't work for me, I'll go back to being un-medicated. It doesn't seem so bad now.

I'm taking generic 100mg SR twice a day. After only 5 days, do I have to worry about withdrawals if I quit?

I have only been on Wellbutin for about a week. I am new to this. My main side effect is that I am tired all the time. I read how it gives many of you energy. Well not me. I am tired all the time and I to have feeling of just not caring. It's like I fell nothing. No emotions at all. My co-workers asked me what was wrong, because I am normally outgoing, the social butterfly of our office. The past week, I have not felt like being around people. Like it takes up too much of my energy to be social. I have also had a severe lack of concentration and some memory loss. I am ADD but it seems like it is making me worse. I also suffer from insomnia, not due to the medication. But I have found that even when I take my medication for sleep, I can't fall asleep.
If anyone has experienced loss of emotion, you can email me at ******. I am interested in knowing how you dealt with it.
