Wellbutrin and nurse

HEY PSYCHMEDMAN TURN OFF YOUR CAPS LOCK and get off your high-horse. If you listened to patients instead of trying to tell them whats wrong with them and you know better, you will help them. It sounds to me like your more interested in showing everyone how smart you are than making people well. Just because your body doesn't have adverse effects, and even if the majority of the population doesn't, does not mean that people are making this up. I have no other medications, never been treated for any mental illness, and I don't believe I have one, but I have had a physically debilitating condition that no doctor has been able to diagnose for over a year. I have resisted taking anything for a "mental condition" because I know that is not what started my trouble, but I allowed them to treat me for it now because after being in this situation for a while, I am feeling a little depressed.

I did not even think to go anywhere to see about any side-effects or suspect the Bupropion that have have been taking for just a few days until a nurse (yes there are other medical professionals that disagree with you, I know this must be a shock) told me his opinion was that the drug's side-effects out-weigh the benefits, and how surprising, the recent headaches, lucid dreams/nightmares & joint pain I HAD ALREADY EXPERIENCED, NOT SOMETHING I READ ABOUT FIRST were being experienced by others on the same drug. I am not you, everyone's chemestry is different, and different drugs affect us all differently. I hope that you change your attitude and open your mind a little more so you can be more helpful than arrogant.

I will not be taking this drug again at any dose, for any reason. I was only taking 75 mg for 2-3 days and I had these side effects.

I do want to say to anyone thinking of going off this or any other mind altering drug DO NOT GO OFF COLD TURKEY especially if you have been taking it long term and or high dosages as this can be more harmful and dangerous than the current effects, it may cause a psychotic episode. WELL I HAVE BEEN READING EVERYONES SIDE EFFECTS THAT THEY CLAIM TO HAVE EXPERIENCED SINCE BEING ON WELLBUTRIN.FIRST OF ALL WELLBUTRIN IS A VERY EFFECTIVE DRUG FOR DEPRESSION AS WELL AS BEING PROVEN TO HAVE SOME OF THE FEWEST SIDE EFFECTS OF ALL ANTI-DEPRESSANTS.THIS DRUG DOES NOT CAUSE SEIZURES,WHAT IT DOES IS LOWER SEIZURE THRESHOLDS,WHICH MEANS IF YOURE PRONE TO SEIZURE(LIKE STOPPING DRINKING WHILE ON IT)YOU MAY HAVE A SEIZURE.IF YOU SEIZURE WHILE ON THIS MED ITS BECAUSE YOU MAY HAVE A CONDITION THAT YO ARE EVEN UNAWARE OF THAT MAKES YOU PRONE TO SEIZURES,WHEN AN ALCOHOLIC DRYS OUT THEY ARE PRONE TO SEZIURE SO IF ON THIS MED THEY ARE ACTUALLY TOLD TO NOT STOP DRINKING.EACH PERSON IS DIFFERENT IN CHEMICAL MAKE UP,SO WHAT ONE HAS AS SIDE EFFECTS OTHERS MAY NOT.IT JUST SEEMS TO ME THAT YOU ALL HAVE READ POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS AND HAVE CONVIENCED YOUR SELF YOU HAVE THEM.EVERY DRUG HAS A SIDE EFFECT BECAUSE ITS NOT NATURAL IN THE BODY.HOW DO I KNOW?? My daughter took it for about 3 weeks. Dr. started her on 300mg. Suddenly she broke out with a severe case of hives all over. She went to ER twice, once they gave her an IV, the second trip they gave her a shot of Epinephrin. Even after that she noticed new hives for a couple of days. She missed 2 days of work. She stopped taking the Wellbutrin after I read that it could cause hives. Now, even after stopping it, she is having terrible muscle aches in her hands and arms. This morning she could lift her 20month old baby in and out of his carseat. A nurse she talked to recently said she couldn't believe that ER didn't tell her to stop taking the medicine and that she had heard horror stories about it.

I have been on Wellbutrin xl 150 for about 8 months. I also take 5 mg Lexapro daily, but am weaning off. I was recently upped to 300, about 1 month ago, since I want to eliminate the Lexapro completely. I have noticed I sometimes stutter or cant get my thoughts out fast enough! I am a nurse and work in the ER in a very fast paced environment. I thought it was just me, and I am worried maybe it is something else, but has anyone experienced this? I noticed it only after upping my dose??? also I am very concerned about the seizure statistics.. 1 in 1000 or 1 in 4000 people have seizures on Wellbutrin???? I never knew this, has anyone had a seizure from this? I am very worried!!!!!
