Whatever you do, DO NOT EVER mix Xanax with alcohol. It was an error that almost cost me my life. I ended up in the hospital puking up charcoal tablets. I will never take xanax again, and I don't drink anymore either.

This message is for Donna who was looking for positive effects of Xanax. I only take 1 pill (.5 )or half a pill (.25)when needed and don't take another pill that day. It totally calms me down and makes me relax without any weird side effects. If I'm tired, the xanax will make me more tired so don't take it then. Also, don't drink any alcohol when taking xanax. Really use it when needed. I take mine when I'm flying in an airplane, a social function and when the kids are real fired up at home an can't settle down. Oh, don't forget when you have tons of company for the holidays. Xanax is a nice thing to keep on hand if you tend to get anxious from time to time - but don't abuse it. Never take more than one pill a day - and don't take one every day!

THIS DRUG IS VERY ADDICTIVE IN THAT IT IS SO HARD TO COME OFF OF. I HAVE BEEN TAKEING IT FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND EVERYTIME I COME OFF OF IT I HAVE THE SAME SIDE EFFECTS. FILL DIZZY TUNNEL FISION NOISES AND LIGHT DISTURB ME TIGHT MUSTLES AND I MENTALLY JUST FILL BAD . IT LAST FOR ABOUT TWO WEEKS. AND YOU WILL FILL BACK TO NORMAL. NO MATTER WHAT THE DOCTORS SAY ABOUT LOWERING YOUR DOSAGES IT IS STILL JUST AS HARD. I WOULD SUGGEST IF YOU GET OFF OF IT DONT GET BACK ON IT. JUST BECAUSE YOUR HAVEING A BAD DAY IT DOES NOT TAKE LONG TO GET BACK INTO YOUR SYSTEM. THE BEST WAY TO DEAL WITH THIS HORRIBLE SIDE EFFECT IS PICK YOURSELF AND MAKE YOURSELF GO.
