hi chris35,
i know it seems like it is going to take a long time to recover and you are feeling really low right now,i felt the same in the beginning. i know it sounds so cliche to say stay positive but it really does help,i fill my head with positive thoughts and consciously replace any negative with a positive and it really helps i push myself to ignore my anxiety and tell myself it is not real. (mine was so bad i became agoraphobic and still am a bit!) one thing all this has taught me is that i am much stronger than i thought i was, things that i used to think i was afraid of are not so scary anymore bacause i know what it feels like now to be terrified! i am much bolder than i used to be as i think if i can overcome this i can overcome anything. i know it all sounds a bit touchy feely but it really can work in your favour to be positive even when things are bad, look at all the good stuff that you have and that is happening to you, ignore all the crap that is going on!
chin up chris35 i hope it will get better for you soon.

hi abs528! sorry to hear you are feeling so rotten again,i have been off yasmin for 3 weeks now,my anxiety is still there but it is just learnt behaviour now,i expect to feel anxious and then i do! i still have days like you where it seems to much and i doubt myself but please please just keep telling yourself that this is NOT you,you will feel better again, really over do the positive stuff in your life, if you have a bad thought or a negative thought consciously replace it with a positive,i know this sounds touchy feely but it does work,i have had extreme anxiety and panic attacks for nearly a year now but this really does make it easier, not instantly but little by little it becomes second nature. hope that helps you a little but please know that all our thoughts are with you..be strong it WILL get better.

WOW!! i'm surprised to hear so many bad things about yasmin.

i've just started my 6th month with it and feel pretty good. fortunately, i don't share many of the side effects that many of you have posted here (knock on wood). the only ones i can say i have, which are not that strong, are dryness and itchiness with my vagina, a loss in sex drive, and moodiness. the discomfort with my vagina is much less now than when i first started, and because i'm consciously aware of my moodiness and loss in sex drive, i can act consciously about it. hMm.. does that make sense?

before i went on the pill (this is the 2nd one that i have tried; i only stayed with the last one for 2 months), my periods were super heavy and lasted a week. my last period was the shortest ever, at just 4 days and was totally manageable.

i deplore the idea of having to take pills on a pretty daily basis, but the patch isn't an option where i live and in my lifestyle of always being in the water. all i can say is, so far, so good.
