Yasmin and counseling

My daughter has been taking Yasmin for 9 months (for cramping) and she has been so emotional and irrational that she does not get along with anyone in the family. We have thought that perhaps she needs counseling, or anti-depressants and now after reading your reactions to this pill I am reconsidering our plan of action. Perhaps we should just take her completely off the pill and have a strong talk with our doctor about prescribing a anti-cramping pill instead.....

This pill has been ruining my life. I have been off the pill for 3 months and been going CRAZY!!! My fiance moved out because he could not stand my moods, I can't event stand my moods. I went two nights where I just cried myself to sleep for no reason. I do not recommend this pill to anyone. Now I am in counseling trying to get my life back.

This is the pill from hell!!! I took Yasmin for 2 years. I am 28-years-old and have been healthy before -- running, etc. I became another person while on this BC. I was moody, depressed, had IBS so bad that I lived in the bathroom for most of the 2 years (never associating this with Yasmin), and worst of all I started having severe anxiety, which led me to seek counseling, and I even started an anxiety medication. No one ever suggested to me that it could be the Yasmin! I stopped taking it a year ago -- ends up it was all from this pill. Beware! I do not recommend this one or Ortho Tri-Cylcen (similar side effects!).
