Girls everywhere . I have one question and please you can reply in private or on here, whatever you like. Did any of the doctors that prescribed Yasmin to you ever give you a hormonal test? I have been going through really bad emotional mood swings for a white but did not have insurance so never really go myself checked out. So last month I went back to my home country and visited a gyno(where medicine is not so overpriced) who has been recommended to me by numerous people and he did a bunch of hormone tests on me concluded (by blood work) that I have a hormonal inbalance. Before the tests were done he obviously asked me a bunch of questions and I warned him that last time i had gone on a losely prescribed birth control(which is was suppose to be very low hormone dosage) I went practically nuts. After seeing my results and finding my inbalance he has prescribed Yasmin to me because apparently I have too much estrogen and other things I couldnt really understand because I am not a doctor but I think one of the things it does is to block some of these hormone from going to your brain. So My point after all this rambling is that ALL of our bodies are different and all birth controls are different and have different hormones which could drive a normal person insane with or without taking the pills SO my suggestion if you are having trouble with Yasmin is to get your hormone levels checked, Yasmin may be the devil to you but its probably because you dot need certain components that are in it or lack some. Get real tests done!

I have been on Yasmin for only 4 days and couldn't take it anymore. At first I was willing to give it a chance but it seemed like every day my nausea was getting worse and worse. I was constantly in bed if I wasn't vommiting and couldn't eat/sleep/work/or go to school I was so sick to my stomach and miserable I had no choice but to stop after only 4 days. I felt extremely dehydrated too because I couldnt even keep fluids down. I'm starting to feel a little better since I haven't took it today and after reading some other messages I'm glad I'm stopping when I am; before everything gets worse. I just didnt think it agreed with my body, because I have took birth control pills before and never been through hell like this. This should definitly get off the market and my sympathy goes out to all those who had suffered from this.

lisa !!

whoever that doctor is that told you it only takes 1 month to get yasmin out of your system clearly has no idea!!!
i know that yasmin is still in my system because when i started it my period was a very bright red (sounds disgusting but true) and it still is at the moment. my periods before yasmin were never like that and thats how i can tell its still in my system....
so dont worry about that doctor and dont feel that the weight gain is all ur fault because it isnt !! oohhh that makes me so angry!!
with the racing heart question yes i definitly experienced it the same. i sometimes still get it now when im ovulating or the week of my period... its not as bad as it was but its still there for sure!
try not to feel so down i know its hard but just remember all these women have experienced the same thing so that doctor isnt really making sense...
i also read on another website that it can take 6 mnths to a year for bc hormones to leave ur system....
i promise you that it is all normal and your gonna get better 100%
stay postive if you can...
lots of love.. chrissy xox

Im not sure if Yasmin is definitly the cause of my problems but after reading all of these postings I no longer feel alone about my symptoms and definitly think that this could be it!

At first I thought I was going nuts...I have been taking yasmin for about 2 1/2-3 years now and this past year has been a complete nightmare. Within a month and a half I had 2 urinary tract infections, I have terrible night sweats and wake up to urinate more then 7 times a night. My mood is so up and down Im like an emotional roller coaster, usually it is alot worse during my period but lately it is all the time! Most of my issues seem related to hormones. I was starting to think maybe it could be I.C. I am jsut so unsure! I have a doctors appointment this coming Wednesday and I refuse to let them just brush this off. It is now to the point I cannot sleep at night and my bladder is out of hand ! I am 26 years old so I know it is not Menapause...

Does anyone else share my symptoms?? HELPPPPP!!!!!

Julia

Still on it 2 months later... let me tell you, the boob pain is no laughing matter! Has anyone gotten blinding migraines from this pill? IS there anyone out there on lithium who takes another pill? I've slimmed down, but the boobs are definitly bigger...
