Hello everyone, just so glad I found this site when I did, I have had such a horrible time whilst being on this pill i didnt know what was happening. I was constantly crying, panic attacks were unreal, nervous, scared about everything, I started stressing over anything the depression got very bad and my doctor took me off the pill immediately. Feeling so down all the time and for no reason and my boyfriend didnt know what to think, Thank goodness I came off this pill. I am now off it 12 days and feeling alot better. Im now taking a B complex and a well woman multi vitamin to build myself back up again. I feel alot better but not 100% yet, I really hope all the symptoms go away. Im never taking this BC again.

Hi Ladies
I just thought I would update you all.
I stopped YASMIN in July last year, as I am sure you have all experienced I started to get Panic attacks, terrible anxiety I thought I had a brain tumour, I was convinced.
I did not feel right, dizzy spells, pins and needles in my hands and arms, Insomnia, etc, etc.
It did not go and lasted months non stop, I could not eat and the fear inside me was terrible, with two young children to look after I was going through hell.
I found out it was due to stopping YASMIN that was giving me these sypmptons, even though its hard to beleive you try to convince your self of this because you want to get better.
Every day and night I would come on this website and read non stop all the posts you ladies were putting in, it made me feel better, I was not going mad it was also happening to you.
I went back and forth to the doctors and drove them mad, unfortunately they have never agreed it was the YASMIN that had done this to me, but we know it is, I don't know what is in this horrible drug but to change your life iupside down it should not be on the market.
I have been going to a councillor for 6 months now and I would like to let all you ladies know it will and does get better, I have a panic attack and anxiety very very rarely now, and when I think back to how bad I was I can't beleive I went through such a horrible time, there is light at the end of the tunnell and when this horrible drug is out of your system you WILL start returning to normal.
I feel well now and just wanted to let all you ladies know, I desperately needed this site when I was at my worst and thought I would give you all a bit of hope.
Take Care
Joanne

Just a question to the ladies off of Yasmin... When did you get your period after getting off the pill. I started taking Yasmin on February 27th and when my period actually stopped was March 27th. So I had my period for a month, cramping & sharp pain in my ankles/feet, bloating & weight gain, insomnia, and along with many other side effects, I decided to stop taking the pill all together. I am hoping that it comes soon. (Never thought I would WANT my period to come, haha!) After taking the pill I am dealing with shooting pain in my legs from my ankle to my thigh on occassion. But everything is getting better atleast! Thanks for the help on my previous inquiry.

In addition to my post below with longer periods, I am also having a horrible cramping/sharp pain that I get on occassion in my feet. I read someone else had this too.

I've just started taking Yasmin on February 27th 2006. My periods are always normal as far as how long I have them. Usually about 4-5 days MAX. Yasmin was really great for my cramping. I noticed I didnt have any to be honest. But It is now March 9th and I am still heavily on my period. That is 11 days now and it doesn't look like it's getting any lighter. I know it has to be a result of the pill because I have NEVER had this with any other birth control, or even off birth control. I've read alot of people saying they had lighter periods, but has this happened to any others? It is really worrying me. I am also having a horrible time sleeping. I feel tired constantly and I am tossing and turning all through the night. More so I would like to know about the longer periods and if it is normal. "

Hi! I am so happy tha I found this site like many others. I was on Yasmin for about 2 1/2 years. I just got off about 3 months ago and have had a horrible time. Just curious if anyone out there has had disturbing and irrational thoughts from getting off of this pill? Any feedback would be great....Hope to hear from someone soon!
Thanks!
