Hi ladies... I'm not surprised that you folks comprise most of the posting population considering the fact that this drug is prescribed to you. Well I'm quite interested in this drug and I do prescribe it to my patients however I am surprised at the magnitude of side effects listed here. I am based here in south-east Asia and I do prescribe Yasmin to my patients and I rarely here of these side effects. Perhaps this can be contributed to the fact that it (Yasmin) is available here under a different brand name however consists of the same chemical position. I am interested in the ones available in the U.S. Does anyone know how I may go about purchasing them. You can contact me personally on ****** thank you.

you can't seriously think you got PCOS from taking Yasmin. PCOS is a syndrome, and taking the pill is used as one of the treatments for it.
One of the possibilities is the it is genetic, and it can be caused by insulin resistance or problems in your adrenal gland. You can't possibly get PCOS from taking yasmin. And PCOS does in fact increase the risk for cervical cancer, cardiovascular disease, and Diabetes, but has nothing to do with taking the pill or not.

I started taking Yasmin 2 years ago, and after about the first 2-3 months of taking Yasmin, I started experiencing horrendous pains after sex. Once my doctor figured out what was going on, I was diagnosed with Endometriosis. Not long after that, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Now I am more than likely unable to have children, and am at risk for cervical cancer, cardiovascular disease, and Diabetes.
If anyone else has recently been diagnosed with Endometriosis, or PCOS after taking Yasmin....PLEASE reply or contact me!!!!!!!!!!!

I am glad to have read the post below me.
From the majority of posts on this forum, it makes it seem as though Yasmin is an evil poison that the medical community is using to destroy women. I was seriously frightened after reading all the comments. While I do believe all these women about the negative effects of Yasmin, there must be some out there who are pleased with this pill. Everyone's body is different. I have been on it for only 5 days now, so I can't really say anything yet.
I will report back after 3 months or so, unless I have gone bald, blind, insane and bed ridden with head-to-toe pain at that time. I guess that could happen but I really hope it will simply calm my awful menstruation and help my husband and I delay pregnancy while we work on being able to afford to at least take care of ourselves.

I'm sorry so many are having negative effects from Yasmin. I guess there's always the possibilities of side effects from any drug taken. I'm here to say that I've had positive effects from it and have never had any complications. I've been on it for over 2 years now. I hope all of you out there who's had negative experiences will find new meds and new hope.

Please help. I took Yasmin for 3 years wothout much problem. Last year I started to get migraines... bad migraines with yucky neurological symptoms.. dizziness, aura, a moment of weird speech. All terrifying possibilities (stroke, brain tumor, etc)were ruled out with various tests. This was so scary that it pushed me into a series of full blown panic attacks. (I had never had a panic attack in my life!) My neurologist suggested I try to get off oral contaraceptives just to see what would happen. He never attributed anything directly, just said that hormones are very powerful substances in the body and it was worth a try. I have been off Yasmin for 3 months. I had crazy PMS last month, depression on and off, muscle pain and MAJOR anxiety. i had to leave a crowded restaurant tonight because I thought I would be sick. I got very hot and jumpy and had to get fresh air. I have never had stuff happen to me like this before. I am terrified. I feel crazy.

This registry is a place to share positive or negative side effects of using Yasmin. If you directly experienced a side effect while using Yasmin, then we encourage you to enter it here. Please note that entries here are the experiences of individual users, and in no way means that you or anyone else will experience the same side effect, since the same medication affects people in different ways. Please always contact your physician.

I've had Fibromyalgia for a long time. The #1 thing, is to have a positive attitude. Get info. about this disease. Get moving. Start out slowly. Do what you are able to do, nothing more and nothing less. I know its hard to keep moving. But if u dont, ur stuck with no life. I've been down this road too. Get some physical therapy. I have found, for me, that pool therapy is the best. I dont have as much gravity to deal with in a swimming pool. The water seems to hold u up. Get involved in som...

by rose81, 2 replies, updated about 14 hours ago.I was given the fantastic news that my body doesn't like itself anymore. I don't know when it had a falling out, but all I can say is the course of action to remedy this disease is CRAZY. Taking meds that have more side effects and the restrictions on my daily life, because of the meds, no driving, no salt, no sugar, and little fat in my diet, very little sun. Bathing in skin moisturizer, moodiness, mental confusion, can't work, but expected to continue cooking for family, and cleaning. Which I guess ...

He has slured speech, incoherent, unsteady on his feet & drops off to sleep in the blink of an eye. Could it be something other that drink related? or is he just pretending to himself he's ok?

When taking YAZ there is only one question to ask yourself, do you feel lucky? Well do you? I am the fiance of the daughter of y_oung_a_american_z_ombie who was laid to rest on Aug 4, 2008. (See posting) She was misdiagnosed with pleurisy by what we thought was a trusted doctor, and passed away from a pulmonary embolism. I want all who are planning to take this drug or currently taking this drug to know that YAZ is a silent killer. Be aware that although you may tell your doctor that you are on YAZ your doctor should look at ALL the possibilities when making a diagnosis. God bless and watch over those that have perished at the hand of this crap and also to the survivors who are telling the true story of this "Wonder drug"
