Yaz and diarrhea

I'm also glad I found this site. I have been on Yaz for nine months for PMDD. I totally thought I was losing my mind. I can't seem to keep focused on one thought at a time, I have had diarrhea since probably about three months into it. Gained weight, sleep problems, anxiety but worst of all my HAIR IS FALLING OUT in clumps. I have super thick hair and now it is so thin that you can see through it and it is getting worse with time. My hairdresser said I have lost 40 percent of my hair. I finally put two and two together and figured out it is the Yaz. I am on no other medications and am going to the doctor tomorrow. I was so scared about my hair. I just hope it grows back soon. I would rather be crazy than bald. I have been on other BC before without any problems. This stuff is too much to handle. I switched to Yaz after searching for help with my PMDD, I asked my doctor about it, because of the commercials I had seen stating it would help severe pre-menstrual disorder, instead I have spent the past month with the same severe symptoms that I was trying to get rid of, but worse I was having them every day; and it was not even close to the time I was supposed to start my period.

The worse side effect was I was down right mean!!! To my boyfriend, my kids, and anyone who would get in my way. Completely irrational, did not care about anyone's feelings but my own.I was saying mean horrible things about the people I love, and thought they were all out to get me. I lost interest in my job, which I love! I have also gained 5 pounds since i started it, and have had diarrhea, and severe heart burn. And I have only been on it for a month and a half. I quit taking it two days ago, and hopefully I will get back to myself again.

HELP....I'm getting married in 3 weeks and I've been off of Yaz for two days now and I'm still REALLY bloated with diarrhea, nausea and just overwhelming sadness. I was only on it 7 days. I tried it because the commercial made it look like my answer to PMDD. I've had a tubal so I don't need it for birth control. How long will these feelings continue? Any answers are appreciated.

I started taking Yaz 3 weeks ago and I am feeling very sick, this headache wont go away ,stomach pain that's constant and dizziness and diarrhea I did not have this pain before, it just started when I started taking Yaz I should have research this Birth Control before I started taking it .Does anyone know how long it takes for this Birth control to be out of your system.

My view on YAZ is simple. It sucks! This is by far, the worst birth control I have ever taken! My side effects ranged from fair, to mild to uncontrollable. At first, everything seemed ok. My periods did not get any shorter, and they didn't get any lighter. Over time, that changed. However, its still not normal. I always tend to start my period 2 days AFTER I start my new pill pack (after the "reminder pills.") I gained 24 pounds on the pill in a year, so I've been working out hard core for the past three months and lost 5 pounds. Its horrible! I also reported to my doctor that I had a HUGE decrease in sex drive. My husband and I now have sex once a month...IF he is lucky! I also at times feel like I hate the world and everyone in it. I become very depressed, and I start to think about how crappy my life really is. Granted, I'm not in the greatest job in the world...not even a good one. But I was fine at it before I started taking YAZ. -I've been written up because of a supposed "attitude" I had while starting YAZ. I also am experiencing bad cramps before I start my period along with Diarrhea. I've recently noticed that my vision is starting to "blur" and I feel like I'm going cross eyed when I talk to someone and look them in the eye. I am hugely dissatisfied, and DON'T recommend taking this BCP to anyone.

The first month on Yaz was great because I was better able to control my mood swings and had less of them. However, during the four day placebo I felt like I was having withdrawals because I would bite my boyfriends head off at the drop of a dime and I hated life in general. I also had diarrhea and nausea prior to the beginning of my period. I experienced spotting the first
13 days of taking Yaz. My sex drive increased tremendously.
During the second month on Yaz I noticed my libido declined dramatically! Three nights before my period started I had horrble stomache cramps and nausea at 4:a.m. and had horrible diarrhea at 4;a.m. before my period started the next day. My flow is a very dark red, almost purple, which is different than it has ever been. I will try Yaz for a 3rd month and see how things go. So far I have do not have enough of a reason to want to continue taking this drug.
