The first time I was put on zoloft I had diarrhea constantly. I would go out to eat at a restaurant and before I had even left the restaurant, the entire dinner had already passed through me - mostly undigested. I couldn't sleep, but I had tons of energy. This went on for months, and I lost 30 lbs. Along with a lot of hair. I don't remember whether or not I was as twitchy before I started taking zoloft. I've had bad dry mouth, but I've found that Biotene toothpaste and mouthwash help out with that very much. The odd thing is, I had to stop taking zoloft because I changed jobs and couldn't afford it without insurance. Now that I'm back on it, my side effects are completely different. I have major headaches, fatigue, I can sleep all day, and I can't concentrate to save my life. I haven't had any diarrhea, in fact I feel constipated, and hungry. I'm gaining weight instead of losing...?

I was put on Zoloft for (alleged) depression and unrelenting fatigue after a panel of medical tests (blood work, urine, CAT scan, etc.) revealed normal levels. After 3 days on Zoloft, I started hallucinating...flashing beam, lights, etc. Has anybody else experience that so fast? I got the heck off of Zoloft immediately.

I am a 31 year old female who has been taking zoloft 50mg for over a year due to post tramatic syndrom. It took almost 2 months for my anxiety/depression and panic attacks to go away. It did help me get through it but in the process I have gain over 30lbs. I run over 2 miles a day 5 days a week and keep gaining weight. I havent weighed this much since I had my children. Anyway, i quit cold turkey 3 days ago and am experiencing dizziness, crazy, scary dreams, hot flashes and fatigue. I hope it does not get worse. I don't want to be back on the fat pill.

I first started taking Zoloft about 2years ago. I was dealing with things that were really taking their toll on me. Ive never suffered from side affects, other then not being able to sleep sometimes. I switched from taking it at night, to taking it in the morning, and it helped a whole lot. About 2 weeks ago, I just sort of forgot to take it, and then the next day, again, I had forgotten to take it. When my mother asked me about it, I thought about it, and decided that i wanted to just stop completely. Its been 2 weeks nw, as I said, and Im really doing okay. The only thing thats bothered me is sort of like a deja vu feeling. I guess youd call that fatigue. I have not mentioned any of this to my doctor, but ill be interested in listening to what he has to say.
Im feeling fine, and my head is so clear now.

Have been on Zoloft for two years now. Taking 50mg daily. Recently I tried quiting cold turkey due to being fatigued all the time. Also because I was getting frustrated when every time I would get a prescription filled, they would give me 100mg pills that I would have to cut up.So in reality, I wasn't taking exactly 50mg every day. What a joke these insurance companies are to allow that. I also was able to get a 90 day prescription fill and now it has changed to 1 refill every 30 days due to my medical insurance changeing their policy on refills. What a mistake it was to quit cold turkey. After the 5th day of not taking zoloft I became a basket case. I started getting these brain zaps every so often, (feeling very numb at times). I have no choice now but to stay on this drug. Its like night and day when I don't take zoloft for more than a few days. I know now that I will be on this drug for the rest of my life. The down side for me is fatigue and decreased sexual desire but the pros heavily outweigh the cons. I will try decreasing my dosage from 50mg to 25mg daily to see if this will help my fatigue problem. Has anyone tried doing this? I truely believe that Zoloft has saved my marriage.

I was on 125 mg of zoloft for 3 year but decided to go off this spring and weaned off very slowly. I have been zoloft free for 10 days and have been experiencing extreme dizziness, fatigue to the point of having to nap every day, wild mood swings and severe hot flashes. I would really would like to stay off but am not sure I can get through this. Any suggested are greatly appreciated!
