Ok so I have felt really really bad since taking this pill. At first all was well but then I started feeling really stressed about everything and I was sad all the time. Also everytime I eat or ride in a car I get extremly sick to my stomach. This is not normal considering these things are getting worse with time rather than better.

I have been on Zoloft for approximately 6 months, I do feel much more in control of my depression and do not have the constant thoughts of harming myself anymore but the weight gain is a problem and that in itself is a cause of low self esteem. Has anyone found a way around this?

Don't give up. For me, it is getting better. I was given Levaquin 5 day dosepack for a recurrent URI and also after extreme fatigue following major surgery that just kicked my butt. In 24 hrs of taking the drug, I went from pure exhaustion to no sleep for 48 hrs straight. The severity of pain in my wrists, calves, feet and various other extra muscle pains (that were not there before taking Levaquin) was unbearable. It was over the weekend and I did continue taking the drug until Monday - finishing the dosepack that day. I was in the doc's office that very day and all they could say was "I've never known this drug to do that...." and of course my reply was to 'read the side effects in the PDR'. That was about 5 months ago and they have noted my file to no longer give me this class of antibiotic - even though this was the first time I was on Levaquin, I'm told there are other meds in it's family that I've taken for years with no problem (Bactrim?). Today, I still suffer from hand weakness & pain and bilateral feet pain. It is nowhere near the severity as the initial onset. Hang in there, take it ODAT & drink plenty of water & juices to flush your system.

Was prescribed Guaifen along with Robitussin, and broke out in hives within 3 days - even taken only half the dose prescribed. Don't know if it was the Robitussin or the Guaifen or the combination, but from seeing the comments here, I assume it was the Guaifen (esp since I've taken Robitussin before, with no side effects).

Having not been on birth control pills for quite a few years....I was recommended by my gynecologist Yasmin. She told me it had a diuretic effect and may increase potassium levels.
She did not tell me what else it might do to my body.

I stayed on it for a total of 6 days......terribly depressed, angry, fretful sleepless nights with disturbing dreams. I was an emotional wreck, crying uncontrollably and feeling so sad over everything.

I would not recommend this BCP to anyone. I had been on Triphasil for almost 13 years with no such side-effects after taking a break for 4 years before going back on a BCP.

i have had a stroke in apr 2005 due to a random blood clot that traveled to the right side of my brain. the nerosurgeon prescribed neuronton and vicodin as my pain and nerve stimulant after we left the hospital. I have taken Neuronton 400mg 4 times a day and Vicodin750mg 6 times a day for pain. Also Zoloft and Zanax as needed . I have been taking this dose for 8 months. I now have a clot that is unopperable. My side effects are memory loss, pain in the rear of my neck,SEVERE pain in my thighs at night when I sleep, low sex drive,I cannot stay focused, vision problems, tired and weak, left arm is very weak. I am also experiencing kidney area pain now. Blood in stool is also concerning. I'm wondering if anyone with a stroke have near same symptoms. Also has anyone heard of this medication mixture?. I feel great soon after my dose is given but feel like i'm dying one hour before my next dose.

I've been taking Yasmin for 3 days now, this is sort of a last resort birth control method for me because I've had problems with just about every other method, including depo and the patch and ortho tri-cyclen. I'm really hoping I can overcome my most recent issue because I don't want to swicth again, I'm beginning to think I was never meant to take birth control at all.
I suddenly felt sick to my stomach after lunch today, it's almost unbarable and won't go away. My lunch was not unusual so I don't think it was the food, and I've never experience morning sickness before but that was the first thing that came to mind. I've noticed that I'm not the only one who feels sick, so any advise on getting that feeling to go away quickly? The thought of eating anything makes me want to puke...

Anything advise is appreciated

I am a 31 year old male. I was told by the doctor that I had prostatitis. I sit at my job all day and he thinks this could have been the cause. I was prescribed 750 mg for 2 weeks. The problem seemed to only get worse and I was referred to a urologist. The NP put me on another 2 weeks of Levaquin. I told him that I was having soreness in my shoulders (joints) and pain in my butt and upper back of my thighs. I have taken the prescription now for almost a full 4 weeks. I now have all the pain described above and also joint pain in my ankles, tendons of my feet, hands, and the joints in my fingers, as well as my knees. I have had a stiff neck from time to time and piercing and dull pain that I thought was deferred pain. I typed in "aching due to levaquin" and found this site and many others with people who have the EXACT same symtoms as myself. I then looked up "alternatives to levaquin", and I found these drugs and keyed in "side effects and aching due to...Bactrim, etc..." None of these drugs had the severity of symptoms as leviquin. I called my doctor and told him I refuse to take anymore of this drug. He is putting me on Bactrim. I also have been taking 800mg of Motrin 3 times a day. It does little for the pain. I have been taking Ultracet which helps some. I cannot take narcotics due to addictive personality and my recovering from alcoholism. It is a scary thing when you can hardly get out of bed, can hardly walk, can't lay on your back due to leg aching, can't lay on your sides due to joint problems in your shoulders, and can't get a good night's sleep. The part that makes me even more upset is that I paid a pretty penny to feel this way. I am now worried about the side effects not going away. I have never felt this way in my life, and if I had to live for the rest of my life feeling the way I have been for the last 3 weeks since the levaquin kicked in, I would rather be dead. That should be enough to make you think twice before taking this drug. If anyone has any advise on how to clear up the adverse symptoms from this drug, I would be more than appreciative.

Hi Everyone,

I must say this site has really helped. I thought I was going crazy, or that everything was in my head.
I was prescribed Advair 100/50 for a lingering bronchitis that followed a bad flu.
Chest x-rays revealed minor hyper-ventilation and minor bronchitis, so my Dr. gave me Advair.
I have no history or family history of asthma. I am very healthy, and my lungs are strong - I used to do apnee diving, I don't smoke, run a lot.
I took advair for one week, twice daily. I stopped yesterday, because firstly, I couldn't see any change at all, and secondly, I noticed the following:
- lots of phelgm in throat (feels like I'm constantly swallowing mucus)
- bad taste in mouth, and itchy throat (sometimes a burning sensation)
- general fatigue and lack of energy
- feeling depressed and anxious, almost paranoid

I just took it for one week, so hopefully this will be out of my system soon.
I was somdering if anyone w/ side effects can update their situation since they stopped using advair (have the side effects gone away? how long after?)

thank you
mat

My daughter will be 4 in a few weeks. In the last year, we have tried albuterol and advair for her asthma. The last 5 days she has been on singulair and her behavior is worse than I have ever seen (as bad as when she was on the other medications). She is usually a very sweet girl but her behavior is uncontrollable. I will not give her another pill. The doctor assured me that this would not happen on Singulair. I feel guilty because I have given her the medicine that makes her this way. A parent knows when medicine is not working for their child. This did not work for mine.

I've only been taking synthroid for a little over 2 months and not only has my husband noticed behavioral changes with me but I feel them as well. If I didn't know what depression felt like, I would say that would be the problem, however; it's a lot more than that. I've felt "sad", as though my heart were breaking and then I get angry and have the "I don't care" attitude. Mood swings galore which is very unlike me. I'm naturally a very outgoing and friendly person who has turned to the irate, don't bother me person who likes to be alone. Though these changes have taken place, I feel they may just be temporary which is why I will remain on the med. It's truly a pain in the neck to experience such changes and not be able to so to speak "control" them on your own, but in the long run, if it means being healthier and losing the weight that needs to be lost (on me), then for me, it's worth it. Thank God my husband understands all this!!!

I have noticed since being on singulair for about 2 months now that I feel tingly all over, even in my head. I am also experiencing an irritation in my right upper thigh. I also wondered if I might have a blood clot. I was given singulair for bad allergies and possibly asthma. It has helped a lot with my sinuses, but these other side effects are really bothering me. I also feel depressed all the time, which I am normally very happy.

I have been taking Coumadin / Warfarin since June 14, 2005. Two major complaints are clumsiness & I am very weak. On a lesser scale, I lose my train of thought and have to fight for the right words to use when speaking. Nothing comes normally or easily anymore. I can't keep my PT/INR in check. I was given a fairly wide margin before increasing or reducing the amount I take daily. but that doesn't seem to make any difference. My surgeon said once it was regulated I could have my monthly labs reduced to once every 2-3 months. I don't see that ever happening. Is there something else I can take that would be easier to regulate and not have these side effects?
