Simvastatin Left Arm, Withdrawal Symptoms, Neck Pain, Blood Tests, Irritability

Hi all, took simvastatin 40mg per day for 10 weeks and developed dizziness, chest flutter, fatigue, weakness in left arm and leg, irritability, feeling out of balance. After stopping 3 weeks ago, symptoms have abated somewhat but have got head/neck pain, general fuzzy feeling which comes and goes, feeling anxious and feeling of weakness in left arm and leg. Has anyone suffered similar withdrawal symptoms? Beginning to think it's all in my head - my doctor ran all the blood tests etc and found nothing.

Jc16659 - Im a 47 year old male with almost the same problems but my pain was mainly in the shoulder that went into my chest the Doctor told me it was from working on the computer. I also had a rash but more defined on my neck. I ran out of my medicine 4 days ago and couldnt get it refilled my rash seems to be going away, but I feel very weak and slightly confused at times. I also have the feeling of fluttering in the chest.

John58 - i have been off the meds for nearly 3 months. have lost a stone on a diet and walk 4 miles a day. side effects gone. never again.

Mikes - I've had similar side effects, the most irritating of which is a kind of dizziness that comes on when driving bumpy roads and an reverberation of my voice in my head when talking. This appeared a month into the treatment and was followed by extreme irritability, fatigue, depression, difficulty in concentration, etc. Took 10 mg of zocor for seven months. I've been off for 5 weeks and most symptoms have abated but still get the dizziness when driving and have good days and bad days.

Gotchlilred - Hi my is Jo Ann and i took simvastatin 40mg and i have been having problem with my left arm, and i had not been able too sleep because of the pain in my arm,i went too the Doctor and had xray they said it was arthritis,but this did't happen until i took this med,and i was 56 and then they said it come with getting older.I don't believe it that pill is know good for people.

Gotchlilred - They need too check that medicine again,there are to many people with the same simpled.they made feel like i was crazy,but i am not i know i feel
