Simvastatin High Anxiety, High Blood Pressure, Statin, Statins, Mgs

I am a 57 year old woman who suffered from Extremely high blood pressure after taking Simvastatin 80 mg. My blood pressure would go up to 200/100 in the middle of the night. I've never experienced high blood pressure of this kind before Simvastatin. One evening after taking this medicine I again awoke to high blood pressure and went into a seizure which also caused a stroke. I begged the doctor to take me of the medicine and he said it was all in my head. I couldn't function at all. High anxiety, high blood pressure, could not sleep. I finally went off the 80mg of Statin figuring I didn't have these symptoms prior to taking the medicine. After the fourth day after stopping the 80 mgs of statin I was back to my old self again. No more anxiety, high blood pressure and I slept all afternoon. The Doctor kept trying to give me anxiety meds to stop the reaction I was having from the Statins. It makes me angry know that he didn't listen to me about the reactions. I wouldn't have had a stroke. Has anyone else had high blood pressure from taking Statins.
