I kind of think CNN and the FDA are intellegent enough to figure out that they should NOT get information off this website. What makes everyone think all these posts are real? First you have to weed out the pranksters who post here for fun, then you have to weed out the competitors to Merck who post here to bust chops, and then you have to weed out the ones who really have a psychiatric condition and get their jollies by posting made up stories.....shall I go on? This is the INTERNET people!!! Anyone with one, two or ten verifyable emails can sign up (I have 11 email addresses myself). I have been intrigued to see the same people posting under multiple user names. Then you go to the other boards and see them there. If you really study these messages you can figure them out. So my point is, NOT ALL THESES STORIES ARE REAL. I think I would be generous in saying 25% of these posts are legit. I would hope that no government agency or news agency is going to risk their reputation on a public forum message board.

I happen to be a nurse who works at a hospital and today I looked up the side effects for singulair in their medical library and guess what. The serious ones were listed as aggressive behavior, mood swings, depression, suicidal thoughts. This isn't being made up. I believe many of these stories are legit. It's just that so many people didn't see the connection to singulair.
Miracles777 - All I know is that my daughter will have been off of it for 1 week on Thursday and I've seen major improvements in her .Have you forgotten that our pet food, our own food and our childrens toys,drinking water and now our medicines have been poisoned. Maybe some people get off on lying and not telling the truth but I find it interesting that alot off people have told their stories about the drug and their symtoms are like my daughters and I didn't even list all of hers! Whether or not the FDA does any thing about SINGULAIR one thing is for sure I will never again put her back on that drug again. That company will not be making money off of my family!!!
Cheflette - People who make uneducated comments like this aren't worth a minute of our time. We know what's real. I've been posting here since 2005 when I put two and two together. I blogged it on my personal blog back then too, hoping to help someone else whose child was suffering on this poison. I am THRILLED to see so many people finally coming on here and getting some relief. Angry that so many have been suffering needlessly all these years. These stories aren't made up, they're real, and until you have a kid who goes crazy because you gave him something that was supposed to help your opinion means nothing.

You are awesome. You speak the truth and the people are paranoid because they have been called out. Obviously Matthew has an agenda. He spends way to much time posting on this website. No wonder his kid has problems!

Medicdad - What I have found out in my 32 years on earth is that the majority of people are good people and try and help one another. I have been off Singulair for 5 days and allready feel more like my old self. This site helped me understand that I was having the same side effects as others and side effects that are listed on Mecks' new Singulair drug sheet on page 15 under "Post Marketing Experience". There are a lot of great people in the world trying to have an enjoyable life. That is why people are showing support on this site. I wonder if your negative attitude is due to Singulair? Good Luck, because when the going gets tough. The tough will forget about jerks like you! We have proof because we have lived been living it. The only reason I posted this to you is with the hope that you will one day understand people and maybe yourself a little better.
Brandy_m - I have three questions for you---Who do you work for?? (A big drug company maybe.) Do you have a child on Singulair?? (my guess is no) And finally- Why in the hell are you on this site trying to tell heartbroken parents they aren't credible???
P.S. I have all of my pediatrician records if you and anyone else would like to see them!
Kate60 - My son was on Singulair when he blew his brains out lady! That's as real as it gets! I havent't seen one made up story yet. You're too much of a cynic and can't see the truth when it bites you in the ass! Do us all a favor and stay away from this site.
Christylou - I wish you could have experienced what we lived through over a year ago, when my very quiet, all-star athlete, straight A student reluctantly let us know that he was hearing voices and seeing things and night terrors were keeping him up at night. You have no idea what it feels like to think that your son might be schizophrenic. We are a very typical, college educated, professional, dual-income family with two boys who make every all-star team in every sport (to give you a visual). This makes me very angry that you diminish the anguish that so many of us have been through. I seriously doubt that 75% of these testimonies are people that just sit around and make up lies. Do these stories not sound like real parents who have experienced real pain. Open your eyes!
