How to Get Off Singulair?

My daughter has been taking singulair for years for asthma. She has fibromyalgia and we blame all of her mood swings, depression and anxiety on that but now I am really worried. We need to get her off of this. Can you just stop taking it cold turkey or do you have to wean yourself off of it? If anyone knows, please advise asap!
