how long until I feel better

I actually reduced the dose as a result of consulting with my doctor. I monitor my blood pressure and heart rate at home.Since reducing the dose of Atenolol, my blood pressure has remained low/normal and heart rate avg. about 60 bpm.

you should consult with your doctor before changing your dosage. Stopping an Atenolol containing medication or changing it in any abrupt can cause irregular heart beat and even a heart attack.
