Guaifenex keep me awake, feeling the same way
Just started taking Guaifenex LA 600 mg today. I only took a half of a pill since I know I'm VERY sensitive to most meds. After about 2 hrs. of taking this, I'm starting to feel "speedy" (agitated), and my stomach is starting to hurt. It's - 41% more... -
Guaifenex cough, medication, second time, vomiting
The first time this medication was prescribed for me I could not sleep. It makes me cough all the time, and at night it makes me cough until I vomit. The second time the doctor prescribed a different dosage/medication but it was still Guaifenex. Same - 20% more... -

Wedensday 09 April 2003 6:17 When I take this medication, about a 1/2 hour later I get cramp in my legs, I get a bad headache, and I only get a few hour of sleep. I only been on the medication 2 days. -

When i took 1 pill it was so bad that i couldnt take it again. I was halucinating and had a very bad head ache. I couldnt sleep very long and everytime i woke up i was very dizzy and hot. I will never take Guaifenex again. -

After taking this med I got a mini migraine - could not keep my eyes open - and nausea with a loss of appetite. I rather take OTC meds with less side efftects than continue to take this kind of med. -

I experienced halucinations, tightness or lack of feelings and hands, head aches, fatigue, drainage, mode swings, and upset stomach after using on pill and it happened each time i used it. -
Guaifenex low energy, stupor, bad news
The good news is it helped me stop coughing so I could sleep. The bad news is that is depresses appetite (which might be good if it felt good) and makes me feel like I'm in a stupor with very low energy. -

Taking 1 600 mg. pill, twice a day for congestion...no urges to eat at all, makes me sleepy about an hour after taking the drug. BUT...not so unbearable that I won't finish the prescription. I could stand to lose some weight! :) -
