Vagifem Chest Pains, Chest Pain, Mcg, Drug Information, Angina

I have been taking Vagifem 25 mcg for about 3 months (about every other night or 3 times per week). I am starting to have chest pains. It feels like what might be angina, though I have never had chest pains in my life before. The drug information enclosed with the prescription does say that chest pain can be a rare but serious side effect. Anyone else had this side effect?
Bakersville - I too have been having a tightness of the chest and shortness of breath, I am still awaiting results of a chest xray, but after reading your report and other related articles on vagifem I am convinced they are the problem, I also started taking statins for my high cholesteral and developed tender breasts. I have been using vagifem for about 3 yrs now, they did solve my horrible symptoms of soreness, but I wonder if I need to still be taking them, the doctor said it was okay, but im not so sure.
Cgsews - I have had this same problem. I have tried to take HRT in the past and just recently got a prescription for vagifem. I had the same heaviness in my chest as with the oral hormones and my heart was thumping very heavily along with a slightly eratic heartbeat. I am very disapointed, I really need the vagifem. Does anyone know of a good alternative?
Shebear21 - yes I have and also strange things like nanosecond episodes of passing out, I dont pass out, I just feel like I will for a nanosecond, also slight memory loss, and weak knees, like they wont hold my body weight, I am 146 lbs so this should not be a problem, but the symptoms of these things have only occured after taking Vagifem for 3 months
Kmorrison - Has the vagifem helped any of your symptoms? I'm just starting the 10mcg dose today. would you recommend it to others?
Csb - I had none of the above mentioned symtoms, but experienced exterme burning for approximately one month after using it once. I am also looking for an alternative to help ease sensitivty, itching. A diet without yeast ease the symptoms, but almost nothing is left to eat.
Ronnie51 - I've been taking Vagifem 25mcg (which has been discontinued...only the 10 mcg dose is being manufactured now) for 2 years. It helped with my urinary leakage issues. However, I still have a uterus and my last trans vaginal ultrasound showed that the lining of my uterus is starting to build up, so I have to have an endometrial biopsy. Those of you who take Vagifem and still have a uterus...you need to talk to your doctor about taking a progestin as well to counteract the effect of the estrogen on your uterus. This buildup of the lining can eventually lead to uterine cancer.
Bonnie L Carll - I have been taking Vagifem 10MCG for about 2years . taking this medication 2x weelky. I have pains in my legs upper thighs and lower calf of my legs .I wake up at night with pains also.also have burning in my vaginal area the next day after using it.
Is this a side effect of this drug?
