I feel like wellbutrin killed my life as I knew it. After 18 months on it, I was worse than I was before I went on it. I had to see a chiropractor and massage therapist for the pain in my back and stiff muscles. I stopped working out because one of my knees was stiff and painful to bend. Prior to that I was a competitive athlete and extremely fit. I developed pain in one finger joint that woke me up at night. I developed severe acne that continued even after I quit the wellbutrin and finally was diagnosed with perioral dermatitis. I am convinced it was caused by the wellbutrin. I was somewhat short of breath, forgetful, had sunburned like skin at time, had trouble sleeping and nothing ever bothered me. I was just there. I eventually developed what seemed like toxicity where I couldn't see to drive, my thoughts were racing, I was tachycardic, my skin was flushed and hot all over, and I couldn't remember basic daily things to do. I will never take this medication again. After eight months my mood is actually better. The wellbutrin made my self esteem go in the toilet with how I felt and I also gained over 15 pounds.
