I was diagnosed with pigmentary glaucoma in the late 90s and started taking Xalatan in both eyes soon after it hit the market. Now, at 52, I have serious cataracts in both eyes, and probably need some kind of operation in the near future. Needless to say, cataracts in 52 year olds are unusual, and while I can not say the Xalatan is the direct cause, after hearing Xalatan has "no side effects! no side effects!" so stridently from so many doctors for a decade one can not think of Shakespeare: "The lady doth protest too much."
