Is Aceon making me cough at night? I was on another medication years ago that made me cough for approximately 8 months. I had every test known to man, including asthma, and the doctors' found nothing (as usual). Then one day, a very smart doctor decided to look at my chart. She discovered that it was the Zestril that was making me cough. This information was sitting on the first page of my medical records. I was given a cough syrup a couple of weeks ago that cost me $33 (with insurance). It does not work. I've also been given antibiotics, to no avail. I'm still coughing and have a lot mucuse coming up. Why don't the doctors tell you things that you need to know BEFORE writing out the prescription, or it a money thing? I've discussed this with my doctor and she still has not said anything. Like before, I will take myself off of the medication and will continue to take my Alvapro and see if the coughing stops. After all, my pressure is still high. Do the doctors' care about their patients or is this a money thing?
