Not Sure Yet but I Think Actos Raised My BP by 30 Points

After reading some nasty things about Actos (and having received my first elevated A1C in years, from 5.9 to 6.1 normally, to 6.4) I dropped the drug 2 days ago. This morning, when I got out of bed, I felt a little dizzy so I dragged out my BP meter. My blood pressure, which for the last few weeks has been around 150/95 was 95/65 this morning. My heart rate was 85. I am shocked by this result. Usually when I get a strange reading like this, I can trace it to something, drinking a lot of coffee the day before, etc. Could it be the Actos?
I am seeing my endocrinologist Monday and hoping I can switch to Metformin and/or Acarbose. I know my endocrinologist thinks Actos is a great drug so I'm glad this happened before I see her. I will be looking at the posts to see who has similar stories about Actos or other side effects. I know there are some people who think this drug may be just as dangerous as Avandia.
