Amitriptyline Hydrochloride Canker Sores, Month and a Half, Seeing Things, Hallucinations, Amitriptyline

I have gained 20lbs. in about a month and a half. I have canker sores all the time. It seems like when one goes away theres already another one there to take it's place. One of the worst side effects I had was I started seeing things, mostly at night. I looked up amitriptyline and hallucinations and there were a bunch of comments from people who have experienced the same thing. It didn't help me to sleep at all. I was very forgetful. I would tell somebody something and later that day or the next day I would tell them the same thing. They would tell me that I already told them and I had no memory of it. I finally saw my Dr. yesterday and he took me off it. The side effects aren't gone yet, but hopefully soon. The only thing I'm worried about is withdrawal. I don't know if this medicine causes that if you just stop taking them without being weaned off.
