Night Sweating
Posted over a year ago
i have taken augmentin for sinus infection. and brochitis, and seem to be sweating alot at night is this a sign that its working or is it a side effect?
Reese99 - I have never heard of this happening with anybody taking Augmentin. Most people only experience the GI side effects with Augmentin. BUT, it may be possible that you have a allergy to penicillin (amoxicillin is in Augmentin). This causes excessive sweating, flushing, feeling hot, etc. I would let your doctor know about this and see what he wants you to do. Benadryl will help you from feeling flushed and sweaty, but I would still contact him and let any other provider know this before you get any future antibiotics prescribed.
