Mid 50's female experiencing 1st ever, EVER, Urinary Tract Infection that is so bad it is affecting my Kidneys. I have not taken any type of anitbiotic in over 15 yrs. Had a bad sinus infection and bronchitis and AVELOX was prescribed. I have RX drug coverage, and a coupon, and still had to shell out $115.00 for this POISON!! Now I am having chronic problems with my right knee with no history of any type of injury, hmmmm. STAY AWAY from this drug.
Helen950 - I took another floroquinolone called levaquiin. This class of drug is poison. I took mine in 2004. I have tinnitus, pacemaker because of electrical problems with my heart that are listed as side effects. This drug ruined my life. I still have tendonitis in my legs and arms. That is also listed as a side effect. Good luck to you and file a MedWatch report with the FDA
Swedish - You will be surprised how many stories you will find on the Internet - people who took an antibiotic in this group - and got terrible side effects.
Google the words - floxed and floxies you will probably find some of them.
