Fentanyl - brand names include Actiq, Durogesic, Duragesic, Fentora, Onsolis2, Sublimaze3 and Instanyl4 - is a synthetic primary μ-opioid agonist commonly used to treat chronic breakthrough pain and is commonly used in pre-procedures.
