It took me a few tries to figure out what was going on, but in the past several years, each time my eye doctor put the drops in my eyes to do a glaucoma check, I would be literally wiped out for hours afterward with severe vertigo and nausea. I came to dread the test and put it off as long as my doc would allow. I had the same thing occur with another opthamalogist upon being evaluated for refractive surgery. On my next appointment, I shared the issue and we began comparing notes on what eye drops were used by both my regular doc and the eye surgery clinic. Fluress was the common thread. The eye surgeon was very skeptical turned out to be the common thread. My surgeon was quite skeptical and said that a systematic reaction to Fluress was nearly impossible. Nonetheless, he switched me to a different drug for numbing and the use of a steri-strip to instill the yellow dye. As I went through the eye surgery process, I had this done probably a dozen times and have never had another episode since I stopped using the Fluress. I am almost curious enough to have them try the Fluress again just to verfiy that it is the culprit, but I would really rather not go through that again. After reading the other posts, I'm even more convinced that the Fluress was the likely cause of my symptoms.
