Can Fosamax cause depression? My sister has been taking Fosamax for a couple of years and has not been able to overcome her depression and anxiety. I don't recall her having these problems prior to her taking this drug. I know that when I took Fosamax for about one year I had debilitating muscle and bone pain plus I developed acid reflux disease. I stopped taking it and my pain went away. It seems logical that if Fosamax can affect your muscles, that it can also affect your brain (causing depression) Has anyone had experience with this?
