I placed an Icy Hot patch on my upper right back just below the shoulder, went to sleep, and awoke two hours later with an erratic heart beat, and an intuitive sense that it was connected to the patch, which I immediately took off. I ended up in the emergency room diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, something I had not experienced before. My heart rate returned to normal about three hours after I had first experienced the erratic heart beat.
I spoke to a friend who said his wife had recently the same experience with the Icy Hot patch. We are both in our mid-60's.
