Kenalog for Keloid and Hypersensitivity Post CABG
I am 75 years old and had a CABG bypass surgery about 10 months ago. My 6 inch scar has become considerably hypersensitive with a Keloid though the latter is not so developed (about 2 mm for 3 inches on the lowerside near the stomach and much less towards the top side of the sternetum). Some doctors advise me to take Kenalog injection 1mg 3 times weekly or monthly.but others advise not to take it in view of my age and potential side effects ( I am otherwise in good health and a very active scientist -an astronomer working in India). The conservative Caridologist and Neurologist advise to apply Contractubex ointment and Betnovate ointment 3 times a day. ... more »
