Is There Any Connection to Lactaid and Peptic Ulcers?
I have been taking Lactaid for lactose intolerance for about a year. Recently I have had reflux symptoms and stomach pain and underwent an EGD. It showed that I have 3 peptic ulcers and erosive gastritis. Biopsies are pending for H Pylori, etc. I can't help but wonder, though, if taking the lactase enzyme (which isn't naturally found in the stomach) could have anything to do with this?
