What's with all the whining? This is a powerful antibiotic that's intended for SERIOUS infections, certainly not for everyone or every little sniffle. It seems to me that if someone is sick enough to be given Levaquin, side effects would be the least of their concerns. Serious infections can be FAR more dangerous than Levaquin's side effects. I firmly believe that the benefits of this drug (when properly prescribed for a serious infection) far outweigh the risks. Yes, there were some side effects - but, because of Levaquin, I am well!
Don't be afraid to ask your doctor questions about what you're being prescribed. The really good docs are confident in their knowledge and expertise, so they're more than happy to take the time to answer questions and talk about your treatment plan. If not, find another doctor.
