Sdena - YES the hair falling out and thinning is a HUGE side effect from that medication and shame on your doctor for telling you otherwise! Just browse the web and you will read hundreds of stories from other people with the same issue. I was on 100mg and then my doc moved me up to 150. I seriously thought I was going to die, the meds made me sick and have high blood pressure (NOT GOOD RIGHT). I then went back on the 100 felt a little less like dying but my hair was still coming out, I felt lethargic, sick etc...I stopped taking my medication all together with my doctors knowing of course. (I would have stopped it anyway honestly) I feel %100 better!!!!! OMG I am now taking Kelp, Primrose oil, and a multi-vitamin for now to see how my blood reads next time. I am going to a holistic to start changing everything to natural, even foods to organic. NO more smoking or drinking anything that will poison my body at all. I think getting healthy and cutting chemicals are a great start to getting off that horrible medication that I swear was killing me slowly. My hair has gotten better as well as I feel alive again. I am reading ALL I can to learn about the thyroid so that I can attack my body naturally in a good way with good things and be careful of chemicals and even flourides. Here is my email, I am willing to talk and learn with anyone to get though this and not have to take a nasty medication. s.dena at rocketmail.com
