Lipitor Cortisone, Biopsy, Rash On, Agony, 6 Years

I have been taking Lipitor for about 6 years suddenly developed a rash on my shoulders and chest. My doctor diagnosed SCABIES!!so I treated myself for that then the rash progressed so I had a biopsy done and after 3 months of agony my slin specialist had taken me off Lipitor as theh test showed a reaction to a drug. I am still itchy prickly and burning on arms legs and hands and cannot tolerate cortisone cream so am on tablets for a week..can anyone relate to this condition? My scalp is also very dry and scaly.

777 - Lipitor is a dangerous drug . . .it can cause MANY side effects. I am a victim of this POISON, so, I know. Unfortunately, drs. and drug co's are doing a SCAM on the anti-cholesterol drugs . . . it is all about big $$$. In reality, your mind/body needs cholesterol to function properly. . . DON'T LET YOUR DR. TO CON YOU.

Bobby - I have heard the complaint of rashes while on statins, granted I don't hear that as aften as the other side effects, but I do hear reports of rashes. Keep in mind that SALES is the name of the game here. In sales, consumer perception means everything! As long as the public beleives that lowering cholesterol protects them from a heart attack, the public will glady reach deep into their pockets and pay big bucks. And we do to the tune of $30 billion per year in worldwide statin gross sales. Its all about money. Cash in on what generates the highest profit margins and pays the larger commissions. Are you beginning to see the picture?
