I was described Lisinopril for borderline hypertension in Oct 2009. All went well for the first month or so. Then, about 3 weeks ago, I started experiencing serious side effects:cough, congestion, nausea, stomach inflammation, abdominal bloating, dark urine, neck & back pain, sore throat, tingling/burning nerves in arms, head, abdominal, & pelvis area, extreme itching of arms, lethargy, fatigue, dizziness, chest pains, insomnia, muscle cramping, and high anxiety and jumpiness. I called my GP, who prescribed the med, who indicated that he did not think Lisinopril would cause any ot the symptoms that I was experiencing and he wanted me to come in. When I went in, he maintained that my symptoms must be caused by another drug or another underlying condition. Since I was taking no other drugs, then I could only assume that I was dying something. I got the feeling that he was more interested in protecting himself from a lawsuit than in helping me. The nausea and bloating are the worst ( although all the symptoms are very . Has anyone else experienced these and how long will it be before they subside?
