Lisinopril Withdrawls, Panic Attacks, Chest Pain, Fever, Nasty Cough
Posted over a year ago
Did anyone experience withdrawals from Lisinopril? I have chest pain (intermittent) and I feel warm all over (no fever), and am very very anxious like I have panic attacks.
Lodidoe - Yes, I did have the anxious side effects along with the nasty cough that seemed to get worse after I went off of it. How long have you been off? It took me 3 weeks to finally feel better.
Smallfrydj - Thanks for your reply! I've only been off of it for a week and a half, looks like I may have another week and a half to go feeling like this. Glad to hear these feelings went away!
Proactive - My anxious feeling was only while on the drug. After I stopped it went away. I was only on this drug for about a week. That cough is still with me almost 2 weeks after stopping but it is about gone. Jewell
Tasgardson - I have had severe anxiety, but I thought it was just due to my age and the lousy economy. Now I am remembering that I have also had a lot of thick, sticky mucus in my throat--which makes swallowing dfficult-- shortness of breath, chest pain and intermittent choking.
This is on top of all the other effects I mentioned. I have been off Lisinopril only two days, but I am feeling better already. Still have the scratchy throat and nagging cough, which is not only hard on me, but most annoying to my "significant other."
This drug definitely causes anxiety and worst case scenarios to surface in one's consciousness.
