In January, my dr. put me on Lisinopril for high blood pressure. That same week I developed bronchitis, but it was Jan. so I thought it was a viral infection that would go away...after two weeks, I finally went to Urgent Care and was put on an antibiotic. I was so sick with coughing violently, thick strange phlegm that would choke me and kept me awake all nigh. This went on for three months, on & off antibotics -on most of the time and many meds for the coughing. Finally after three months, a friend heard me coughing and said it sounded like I had whooping cough and a friend of his had a bad cough that was caused by her blood pressure meds. I went on internet and checked out lisinopril. Sure enough, there were accounts of the same cough, the thick , sticky phlegm and being very sick from it. I immediately stopped it, but the effects continued and I ended up nearly with pneumonia, then it became serious sinus infection, which I am still fighting. I have an implant in my right ear and the sinus pressure has been so bad that my implant will probably have to be replaced. I do not know how this drug is still on the market. I understand some people tolerate this drug, but it has cost me six months of good living. I have lost many days of work, besides the mental and physical toll it has taken on me. I really don't know if I will ever be without some of the side effects. Bobbie
