My doctor put me on Lisinopril 6 years ago. I take 5 mg a day plus a 2.5 mg Indepamide (water tablet?). I have experienced a number of the symptoms expressed by others, such as the coughing and tried to cope with them. However, I recently started having bladder problem and don't have time to make it to the toilet. I use to go mainly twice a day and could consume a considerable amount of liquid during the day,did not wake up in the night needing to go to the toilet I now worry that my kidneys and bladder have become affected but most worrying of all is the fact that I have developed a constant craving for SALT - either in pre cooked food or food I cook at home with fresh ingredients. My gut instinct is that I should stop taking both tablets as I feel sure that my initial raised blood pressure problem which led to my Doctor putting me on these tablets was due to the death of my brother to whom I was very close and insecurity at work. i have come to terms with the death of my brother and I am now retired so these causes no longer exist but I worry about whether long term use and the adaptation of my blood system are likely to put me in danger of having a heart attack.
