My son had seperate vaccines for measles, mumps and rubella when he was 2,3 and 4 years old. We were told that these would give him life long immunity by the private doctor but have now had letters saying he needs to have 3 seperate booster injections. Does he need to have these? and at another cost of £120 each could he now have the MMR booster? We only decided to give him seperate vaccines in the first place because he was so ill at 8 months with an absess in his lymph gland and this affected his immune system so we thought it would be too much for him to have all 3 vaccines at once.
