Metronidazole Fatigue and Dizziness, Nasty Taste, Loss of Appetite, Chocolate Milk, C Diff
I am taking Metronidazole for C Diff that appeared after 3 weeks of antibiotics. I am now feeling fatigue and dizziness. I need to finish the medicine because I am tired of the C diff that i have had for 3 weeks before treatment... and it's still continueing. I want to just go to sleep, but I've slept enough for today. I don't have any of the horrible side effects, although I do have a nasty taste in my mouth because these pills desolve so quickly once in my mouth. I can't swallow pills super fast and usually need to swish them inmy mouth for a bit, in order to keep the nasty taste out of my mouth I drink chocolate milk to wash it down. Dunno if the milk is helping the c diff, but the taste makes everything taste bad. I also have a loss of appetite, but by the end of the day of not eating... I am starving, then get really bad heartburn from overeating (which i never normally get). ... more »

The c diff and this medicine I believe is also preventing my zoloft from effectively being absorbed into my body. So the heartburn is from this and stress not from the metronidazole (i believe).
I'm glad that this is normal, and I definitely want to stop it, but know I shouldn't because C diff is soooooooo frustrating.
Still have several more days to go :(
