Am I the only one who gets massive fatigue with the mirena?? It just keeps getting worse. I found after I had it put in, almost right away I started having anxiety and fatigue. Now i am on medication for the anxiety and I need to be seen the fatigue. ... more »
Am I the only one who gets massive fatigue with the mirena?? It just keeps getting worse. I found after I had it put in, almost right away I started having anxiety and fatigue. Now i am on medication for the anxiety and I need to be seen the fatigue. Is it only me?? Please someone tell me something! I am going out of my mind! I want this company to take them off the market if this is what others are experiencing too! How do we join together and file a suit against them?
Mainemoose7 - Thank you for writing me back...I hope I have the same luck when I have mine removed. My fatigue is so bad that I can't do anything. I also have a lot of other symptoms but this is the worst! Anxiety started around the same time as the fatigue and now when I get my period, I have a strange sensation in my legs which seems very similar to nerve issues. Those along with the other things that are not as serious like the bad irritability and weight gain/bloating etc. I would like to get in on the Class Action Suit and hopefully spare other woman from going through this misery. It is so sad to see my kids longing to go out and do something but I feel dizzy from my fatigue all time and I just can't get out! I have had it in for about 3 years now...that would be 3 years too long. I really hope someone looking into getting the Mirena will read all of our issues and decide on another method.

Softballmom - I experienced fatigue as well. My drs. put me on an antidepressant for depression and anxiety. I guess I blamed the fatigue on that. I would get up in the mornings, take my kids to school, come home and take a nap. I would get up, eat lunch, take another nap and then get the kids from school. I would drag myself in to cook dinner, clean up and head to bed around seven thirty with my little one. I still cannot say that it was totally from the mirena. After a lot of research and finding this site I had the iud removed two weeks ago and I am weaning off of the antidepressant. I am hoping that this was the problem and that I am not just a depressed person. Hang in there and let me know how you are doing.
Enurhead - I would like to get in on the Class Action Suit. I've had a horrible experience as well.fatigue hair loss,no sex drive, hormones are all messed up,skin problems, ect...let me know if you find out how to get this off the market. e-mail me enurhead@yahoo.com thanks
Brerohodo - i have to agree on several terms that this iud has screwed with me. hair loss, total acne which i've never had before ever, lack of sex drive, etc. The only thing holding me to it is the cost(paid for) and convenience. My dermatologist even said my skin problems were due to the progesterone and prescribed an antibiotic which isn't helping. I've had the iud for 3 years and after being completely embarrassed with my skin issues, i think it needs to go bye bye! Thanks everyone for the posts and info!
