Mirena Severe Mood Swings, Leg Numbness, Birth Control Side Effects, Sinus Infection, Iud

I am so glad to see this site. After 2 ER visits, MRI of my brain, blood work, Neurology visit, I have just come to the conclusion that it is the Mirena that is causing all of my symptoms. It began with my severe mood swings and has since followed with blurred vision, fainting spells, leg numbness, migraines. My doctor along with the staff in the ER were told by me that I had the Mirena put in 3 months ago. Everyone just looked past that. It was brought to my attention by my sister that this may be the cause. After all of these tests coming back clear (other than the sinus infection), I decided to read the "severe side effects" on the Mirena site and sure enough EVERYTHING was listed. I hope to God this is the cause of my horrible symptoms. I plan on having it removed ASAP. It's too bad that birth control side effects don't seem to be a concern to doctors these days. Not worth it. I hope you consider removing your IUD if you feel any of the symptoms, cause it will just get worse.
