After 13 months of (in no particular order) random periods lasting up to 15 days each, increased discharge, severe bloating, abdominal pain, nervousness, weight gain (8 kg), breast tenderness, low mood, loss of emotions and a waistline that evolved into a very thick flabby tyre, I said farewell to Mirena.
I can’t emphasise enough just how relieved and happy I am to be rid of Mirena. I know it works for some women, but I wasn’t one of them. It feels great starting a new Mirena-free chapter of my life. I’m really looking forward to getting my body and my life back.
