I have had the Mirena for nearly a year and have been mostly very pleased - weight loss, no periods and stress free contraception is all great. However one bad side effect is acne - having never had a skin problem throughout my teens and early 20s (now 26) I now always have spots and my face looks like an oil slick - my makeup lasts about an hour before it literally runs off my face. I have seen a dermatologist and she has given me creams which help a little but the greasiness of my skin is becoming worse, I am dreading the summer months with the hot weather.
Is there anything I can do about this and is it likely to continue getting worse?
