New to Mirena.
Posted over a year ago
I had the Mirena put in yesterday but, I also found out yesterday that I had a fibroid. would this affect me in any kind of way? Also am I suppose to feel the threads now or after I have my period, and is there a certain position that I have to be in to feel it
Deegrant732 - I've had my mirena for about 5 months now, I knew a little about it before I got it but after I really got into looking up and finding different information on it. I talked to many different doctors and asked questions because its been a painful journey with the mirena and with you having fibroids might make it even more painful when its time to come out you might have to have a hysterectomy like my mom did which is also painful. I wouldn't recommend that you keep it in their are a lot of different websites having to do with the mirena and its side affect and long term affect you should check it out and get different doctors opinions because the pain is no joke even dealing with the doctors make the decision for your self because they might tell you anything that's its ok but in the long run you might run into a lot of proublems with it just check it out and o yea you are suppose to be able to feel the string after you have it inserted I often check mine when I'm in the bathroom its easier because your in a sitting position
Andreab09 - i have gotten the mirena two weeks ago and have gotten my period and yesterday i started to have a side pain, i thought maybe it was just cramps but today i had trouble sitting, and working was hell. im not sure if it has anything to do with it, but i dont think i can feel my strings i have tried but im not sure im far enough up there or what im trying to feel can anyone please help me figure this out before i start freaking out. please email me at xo_Sexybeast_xo@hotmail.com
