Dependence on Omeprazole, Side Effects Including Smelly Feet

I started omeprazole last year after having a "cardiac event" (doctors called it that); tightness in chest, rapid increase in blood pressure with severe, crushing pain in left jaw radiating to left arm. I felt horrible. The omeprazole seemed to help. Then I started having the same type of symptoms, again, without it helping so I stopped taking it -- my symptoms got much, much worse and my feet started smelling. I've heard of medications making feet stink, but not when you get off of them -- anyone else have this happen? I think I'm going to give the apple cider treatment a try --- I didn't realize how many nasty side effects the drug has and how dependent it makes you.
